The Ulmus Carpinifolia is commonly known
as the Smooth Leaf Elm or Smooth Leafed Elm.
The Ulmus Carpinifolia is native to Europe,
North Africa and western Asia and will grow 70 to 90 feet. Its leaves are
relatively small and smooth to the touch.
The cultivar 'Accolade
Elm' is an elm hybrid that is Dutch elm disease resistant;
vase shaped form; dark green glossy foliage; fast grower; very adaptable,
will tolerate dry conditions; 50 to 60 feet tall, with a 35 to 40 foot
spread.
The cultivar 'Homestead
Elm' is also an elm hybrid that is Dutch elm disease
resistant; deciduous tree, densely pyramidal to oval, rapid growing, to
55 feet tall and 35 feet wide, arching with age.
